Yasmin Drummond is known for her abstract paintings made by overlapping dense layers of paints, and blending abstract and figurative elements.
Yasmin focuses on the moment and emotional reactions. She prefers not to start with an agenda in terms of subject matter, and believes art should reflect and capture moods and reflections, with the most creative moments often stemming from intense and raw emotion.
Born in Germany, She is a British artist of Middle Eastern origin. She has lived in 14 different countries and that diversity influences her work.
She has held successful solo and joint exhibitions with Fijian and Pacific artists - at the Leleuvia Gallery, the Fiji National Museum, Alliance Francaise and British High Commission Suva. Her works are in private collections in various countries around the world.
