1989 – BA Three Dimensional Design – Furniture Design
1989-1996 – commissioned artwork, design and sculpture for private and commercial clients – including woodcarvings/sculpture, commercial interior design and furniture design
1996-2017- MD of MJP Studios, designing and manufacturing of 2d and 3d artworks, interior design, furniture design, prototypes, and architectural mouldings. Projects included international clients, blue chip leisure companies, award winning designers and architects, public commissions and private collectors. Projects included, GRP theme park sculptures and installations to animatronics, from bronze castings to glass furniture, from concept design to on site installation. The company became well known for making what others could not. My extensive experience and knowledge of materials, their manipulation and processes from this time has proved the foundations for my current work where the materials relationships, connectivity and understanding are paramount to its success.
